4.4/5
Probably the scariest chapter of the 3 so far. Also the best one. The puzzles are cranked up a notch and the story is excellent.
4/5
It feels like Poppy Playtime has taken off our shackles; no longer toying with us with bendy pink or fluffy blue monsters.
4.5/5
Indie horror perfection. Everything they could have done to make this great, they did.
8.6/10
Best horror game right now on iOS as well as in PlayStore.
Chapter 3: Deep Sleep is the third installment in the hit indie horror franchise Poppy Playtime, developed and published by Mob Entertainment. First released on PC in January 2024, it’s the series’ darkest and most intense chapter yet.

Mob Entertainment teamed up with Pingle Studio to bring the game to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile (iOS & Android).
"The team at Pingle Studio were an absolute pleasure to work with. They consistently met every deadline and exceeded our expectations, bringing high quality ports of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 to all of our target platforms."
Matthew Selva
Lead Porting Engineer at Mob Entertainment
Chapter 3 is Poppy Playtime’s largest and scariest yet. Every shadow feels like a threat. Every sound puts you on edge. Every chase keeps your heart racing.
Mob Entertainment wanted to take their biggest and most technically advanced chapter beyond PC to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, iOS, and Android.
They needed a trusted porting team who could:
Spoiler: Pingle Studio checked every box. On a fixed price, as always.
Here’s how it went.
Have a similar challenge?
We can help!
The Pingle team started optimizing PS, Xbox, and Switch builds simultaneously. In 5 months, we checked all console builds on TRC and prepared them for certification.
To pull this off, we:
Balanced CPU & GPU loads.
Eliminated frame drops, crashes, and overheating.
Scaled graphics.
Tuned resolution and rendering settings to get the best visuals on every console without sacrificing performance.
Refined VFX & sound performance.
Kept lighting, fog, and eerie audio crisp and immersive without lag.
Rebuilt the UI for gamepads.
Made every interaction feel intuitive across all controllers, whether DualSense, Xbox controllers, or Joy-Cons.
Integrated platform-exclusive features.
Those include trophies, achievements, save systems, and activities.
TRC failures can push releases back for weeks, but our QA team knows the process inside out. Every build passed certification on the first try, saving Mob Entertainment from costly setbacks and keeping the launch on schedule.
Now, on PS5 & Xbox Series X, players can switch between 4K 30 FPS (Quality Mode) and 1440p 60 FPS (Performance Mode).
On weaker hardware like Switch, the game was scaled down to 900p (TV Mode) or 720p (Handheld) to keep it running smoothly at 30 FPS.
With console versions wrapped up, the next and final stage was to bring Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 to mobile and keep its horror atmosphere intact.
We got it done in 2 months:
Optimized platform scalability settings.
We adjusted graphics and performance for 30 FPS gameplay across both high-end and mid-range devices.
Optimized VFX & sound.
We preserved lighting, shadows, and eerie audio without overloading mobile processors.
Redesigned UI & touch controls.
We made interactions smooth, user-friendly, and responsive.
Implemented mobile save systems and integrated achievements.
As a result, a stable 30 FPS was locked in on all supported devices, from flagships to mid-range gadgets:
The mobile release followed just a month after the console launch.
“Launching on consoles on the same day takes massive prep and comes with serious TRC certification risks. It’s a nightmare for many. But we knew we could easily handle it. With a sharp QA team that knows TRC inside out and their incredible collaboration with the dev team, we nailed certification on the first try.”
